💱Trading Tutorial

Follow the step-by-step guide below or watch the swapping tutorial at the bottom of this page.

The basic function of a decentralized exchange is to let you trade one Token for another. At the moment, Venice supports trades for FRA, WETH.e, stablecoins like BUSD.b and other tokens. You can simply select the two tokens you want to swap using the Trade page.

You interact the liquidity pool directly, instead of with another order to the opposite direction, in a permission-less and decentralized way. The liquidity provided to the Exchange comes from Liquidity Providers ("LPs") who stake their tokens in "Pools". In exchange, they get LP (Liquidity Provider) tokens, which is a simple of their deposit/share in the pool and earns their share of trading fee, pro rata.

When you make a token swap (trade) on the exchange you will pay a 0.20% fee, which is broken down as follows:

0.15% - Given to liquidity pools in the form of a trading fee for liquidity providers.

0.05% - Charged as protocol fee.
